Attorney Kathleen P. March to Teach Bankruptcy Program at The Rutter Group Seminar
March 8, 2011, Los Angeles, California – Former bankruptcy judge and practicing attorney Kathleen P. March will be teaching a bankruptcy program to attorneys at The Rutter Group seminar on March 15, 2011 at the Los Angeles Marriott in Downtown, 333 S. Figueroa Street. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the program will be from 6-9:15 p.m. Ms. March was also chosen to write the materials for the program that all the panelists will use at the Los Angles based seminar as well as the same program being taught in San Francisco on March 14, 2011.
As a member of the Rutter professional panel for Bankruptcy: The Latest Post-BAPCPA Resolved & Unresolved Issues Practice Pointers From the Experts!, Kathleen March will contribute her thorough and unique knowledge of bankruptcy law to program attendees. With 14 years of experience as a U.S. bankruptcy judge and many years of experience as a Los Angeles bankruptcy attorney, Ms. March has a firm understanding of bankruptcy and how it affects a person’s life. When teaching the bankruptcy program, Ms. March will incorporate information about the most recent court cases to explain their impact on debtor and creditor rights and remedies, and teach practice pointers to the attorneys attending the program. Ms. March will also highlight rising new bankruptcy issues and ways in which experienced bankruptcy practitioners or those up-and-coming can gain an enhanced understanding of how to successfully navigate the bankruptcy battlefield.
The seminar provided by The Rutter Group has been approved for MCLE (continuing legal education) credit for attorneys by The State Bar of California in the amount of three hours with half an hour applying to Legal Ethics. Enrollees of the bankruptcy seminar will also have the opportunity to buy the four-volume California Practice Guide: Bankruptcy, written by Kathleen P. March, Judge Alan M. Ahart, and Janet A. Shapiro, at a special price. The Guide focuses on bankruptcy practice in the four Bankruptcy Courts located in California (Central District of California, Northern District of California, Eastern District of California, Southern District of California) and includes invaluable forms, resources, and practice pointers.
Kathleen P. March handles each case at her law firm, The Bankruptcy Law Firm, PC, personally, providing individual and small business debtors with thorough and effective assistance with their bankruptcy cases, particularly chapters 7 and 13. March's firm is also often hired to do "pre-bankruptcy consults", on the pros and cons of filing bankruptcy, and the pros and cons of various chapters of bankruptcy (chapters 7, 11, 12, 13). March's firm also represents creditors in all chapters of bankruptcy. March's firm also has a busy practice doing "second opinion" consults for other bankruptcy attorneys, who pay March's firm to consult on problem issues.
